Summary :The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance and management of plant machinery and facilities. They are responsible for coordinating with plant personnel on projects and/or repair work. They are responsible for coordinating with outside contractors and supervising subordinate technicians. Work with their staff and peers to provide detailed plans on all work to be completed in the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following)
- Managing the maintenance of the building, grounds, equipment, and plant facilities
- Equipment reliability programs such as lubrications, ultrasonic and vibration.
- Managing all personnel within the department.
- Managing and delegating assigned projects for the plant.
- Skills assessment and training for all personnel within the department.
- Installing, moving, repairing, and removing equipment and utilities within the building
- Keeping in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations
- Contracting with all outside contractors and coordinating their activities while in the facility.
- Ability to work as a team leader/member with a diverse group of people at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to drive results and perform in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. Ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, process driven, have effective planning, plastic manufacturing background and implementation skill sets.
- Knowledge of lean/TPM business practices a plus.
- Proven experience in getting critical projects completed in a timely fashion within the budget; very resourceful and organized; hands-on leader who can create effective work flows and processes; strong manager of people and projects.

Qualifications: (These examples do not include all the duties which the employee may be expected to perform).
- Associates degree with technical training in plant engineering, or factory/plant maintenance, Bachelors preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field, two of which were holding a supervisory position directing a multi-functional maintenance staff
- Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical, and mechanical systems
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly; familiarity with local building codes and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with all current health and safety regulations
- Requires strong supervisory skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
- Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant

Internal: This position communicates to all levels of the organization
External: This position may interact with customers, auditors, suppliers and regulatory agencies.
Reports to: VP of Operations
Supervises: Maintenance Supervisors, Planner, Store Room
Working Conditions:
· Work requires normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
· Corrected hearing and vision to normal acceptable range
· A significant amount of time will be spent in a production environment
· Production area is not climate controlled and may experience extreme temperatures
· This position requires approximately 4-6 hours per day standing and/or walking.
· This position requires the ability to climb stairs and ladders
· Travel as required
